Childcare hits female boardroom ambitions


The breakdown of the extended family has contributed to a fall in the proportion of women at senior management level in companies in emerging markets, according to a survey.

A study, by accountancy firm Grant Thornton, found that almost all such economies now had proportionately fewer female senior executives than in 2009.
