The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced it will meet Wednesday, July 26, to discuss – and perhaps finalize – the proposed executive compensation disclosure regulations. Should the Commission approve the final rules for publication at the July 26 meeting, it is probable that the rules will not be published until mid or perhaps even late August.

Some pundits have playfully called this the “Couric Rule,” because of the possibility that it would have forced the disclosure of compensation packages of celebrity news anchors and other famous people.
