Forum for a Responsible Globalisation

When: October 26-28, 2006
Where: Cité/Centre de Congrès, Lyon, France

Fair trade, socially responsible investment funds, international social norms, responsible consuming, corporate social responsibility, social economy, decentralised cooperation... In many places, on actors or local authorities' initiative, sometimes supported by institutions, new practices give shape to alternative approaches of globalisation.

Although they still represent a small share of the world's economy, these new practices are developing and meet the growing concerns of the worldwide public opinion on these issues.

Local authorities, civil society organisations, companies, trade unions, employers' organisations, NGOs, the world of academics and research, state administration..., these citizens come from all walks of life, but this just goes to show that we can harness this diversity to build joint projects. Better yet, this diversity opens up new possibilities for changing reality.
