Women Managers in the UK


  • This equates to 4.2 million managers in the UK. 1.4 million women and 2.8 million men.
  • In Nov 2005, women formed 27% of the 71,000 members of the Chartered Management Institute

  • The number of female managers continues to grow. At 33.1% the level of women in management roles has trebled in 10 years. Women also account for 14.4% of directors (a figure that has more than doubled since 1999) and at team leader leavel, women now represent more than one-third (36.9%).
