In the Chancellor's Pre-Budget Report published on 9 December 2009, it was confirmed that the UK was to continue to play a leading role on climate change. The Government wishes to continue a low carbon recovery with £400 million to support business investment in low-carbon growth and help households reduce energy costs with the view that tackling climate change will stimulate innovation and growth.
