More good news coming out of Spain on the fashion front.
Not long ago, the authorities banned emaciated models from Spanish runways now they have aimed at the ads.
Perhaps those in the fashion industry don´t realise the influence that their ads have on the negative side. They clearly realize the positive sales effect, otherwise they would not be spending billions in advertising. Perhaps they just don´t care about the negative effects of their ads!
Negative effects there are and so the authorities have an obligation to step in.
Ads that are misogynistic or that show children in any sort of inappropriate light should go!
If the fashion and the advertising industries are so full of creatives, rather than of themselves, they should come up with advertising that works for their sales AND avoid the pitfalls.
Dolce & Gabbana have got themselves upset and have withdrawn their ads from Spanish magazines. Fine!
Given that they are spending millions on these ads they clearly beleive that they work to push sales, let us see what their sales do without ads. Who cares!
Why don´t they go all the way and withdraw their clothes as well? That would really be a show of protest!

It said the move was unavoidable, although not in the firm's interest.
The offending advertisement shows a bare-chested man pinning a woman to the ground by her wrists while another man looks on passively.
